Canada eases entry rules for vaxxed pax

Canada will no longer require a negative PCR test result from fully vaccinated arrivals from February 28. Instead, a negative rapid antigen test result will be accepted, according to Federal Minister of Health Jean-Yves Duclos.

Rapid antigen tests may be taken in the 24 hours before arrival.

Additionally, the Canadian government will no longer recommend that Canadians avoid nonessential travel.

Duclos said that while the announcement is "encouraging," all measures are subject to “constant re-evaluation”.

Unvaccinated foreign nationals are still not permitted to enter Canada unless for essential purposes, in which case they must still show a negative PCR test result taken within the 72 hours prior to arrival, and they must then quarantine for 14 days.
