In order to facilitate the applicants to go to China, approved by the authority of CVASC, with a limited number of Chinese visa applications, the Johannesburg Visa Center will open the online appointment after the Chinese National holiday and the Durban office and Cape Town office are still temporarily closed.

Affected by the epidemic, no urgent and express service are currently provided by CVASC. After the successful online-appointment, the applicant will come to the Johannesburg office for submission. The interview time will be subject to the queue number that you will receive on the interview day.

Please kindly note that applications are restricted to the following categories:

1. Holders of a PU invitation letter issued by the foreign affairs or commerce department at the provincial level or above in China, who intend to apply for a Z visa to work in China and their accompanying family members who intend to apply for an S1 or S2 visa.

2. Those who hold a PU invitation letter issued by the foreign affairs or commerce department at the provincial level or above in China and intend to go to China for necessary economic, trade, commercial and technological purposes and need to apply for an M or F visa. (Note: The purpose of going to China needs to be reviewed by the embassy and consulate and determined to be a necessary economic, trade, commercial, technological purpose)

3. Those who hold residence permits for work, personal affairs and clusters in China that have expired after March 28, 2020, and whose reasons for going to China remain unchanged. You can apply for Z, S1 or Q1 visas with the residence permits you have and related materials.

4. Emergency humanitarian visa. (Note: It must be approved by the embassy and consulate as an emergency humanitarian)

 Eligible applicants must adhere to the following procedure:

1.Fill in the online application form on the website of the Visa Application Centre (www.visaforchina.org) and prepare the related documents according to our requirements. Please refer to documents lists on our website.

2.Make an appointment on our website.

3.CVASC will not accept any applications that did not follow the above process. No applications will be processed without a successful online appointment.

4.If applications are submitted with the help of agents, the agent must provide a copy of their South African ID and a signed up health declaration form (download from our website).
