Travellers with expired Schengen visa that are stuck in Germany since March due to the COVID 19 pandemic and were unable to travel back to their home country. This decision was made by the Federal Ministry of the Interior. 

This will only apply to foreigners who entered Germany on March the 17, 2020 with a valid Schengen visa or after March 17, 2020. 

The Ministry of Interior in Germany has decided to permit theses travellers to seek employment. 

This statement has been published in the Federal Law Gazette of Germany on the June 17 and was operational the day after it was announced. This will expires thou on September 30, 2020
